PACT Housekeeping Meetings

First, we ran through the proposed format and workflow of decision making, and organisation involving this website - we discussed how it will be laid out, navigated, and what information will be held here. We then ran through some case-studies (linked below).
We then explained the process of our conversations with local surveyors, of which we called many, but 2 seemed to suit our project. One is Joe from Arup - a structural engineer with a team responsible for all building projects in the North, and another local surveyor called Ryan who specialises in underground gas and electric surveys, but has a wide network of contacts.
The conclusion from these conversations was that the ‘survey’ is actually more of an investigation, involving multiple people and specialists in their respective fields. To find out the info we need, it would involve a team. We explained that haveing a firm like Arup on board will bring lots of credibility to the project, but also may beway out of budget. Working with Ryan would also be great, as he is a local professional who would be able to bring a more personal and dedicated approach tp the house at this stage.
Joe and Ryan asked to see the scope of the PACT house project, and because of the professional nature of this stage, we want to send them an updated, clean and concise idea of our concept. This will form the basis of the quotes they will get back to us with.

- The meetings will continue to be held on Google Meet.
- The survey and information gathering is our first priority and initial focus.
