PACT Housekeeping Meetings
Thursday 16th July 2026
We talked this week from our lovely house sitting location, where the dog, cats (and kitten) didn’t interrupt too much. Just Sav attended this Thursday, starting off by recapping the week - which has been relatively ‘quiet’ compared to previous weeks, in terms of emails.
He then wanted to explain our current work situation, which is straddling two projects - beginning and end. This has caused quite a lot of stress over the past week, with the deadline for our other commitment being pushed back, landing on Friday 24th July. After this date, we are anticipating having our full attention bck on PACT, and we are extremely excited about that.
While waiting to hear back from structural teams at Bond Bryan, Arup, and surveyors at Eastwood, we’ve been creating the template and drawings for our planning application.
We had a great conversation this week with our architect Tony, who spelled out exactly what we need for planning, including the level of detail, scope, and supplementary info. We are proving to the council that we are being considerate with our tree survey which is happening on Monday, as this detail wouldn’t normally be required unless felling or cutting in the garden. We then have the option to go for phase two of Leonies’ report, if necessary, now we have the pre-requisite survey.
We then talked about precedents for paying invoices moving forward, and the chain of command with finding out and maintaining records of who has been paid, and when.
Also happening on Monday is our meeting with Horbury, where we will be taking our proposed designs along to discuss and show to Gill and Lee. Lucy mentioned that the director of Horbury has a background in Quantity Surveying (something that came up last week) and so we feel as though it will answer lots of questions we have about budget, scope, and Horburys’ role in the project.
Further to this, Lucy will be joining us on Monday at Horbury as a representative of PACT!
