PACT Housekeeping Meetings

We had a couple quick opening updates this week:
1. We are still trying to get in contact with Horbury to arrange a meeting
2. We have received validation from planning, dated 14.09.2026. This means that in theory we should have a decision within 8 weeks, though we should remember that there is a chance this gets extended to 9-12 weeks.
We had a refresher of what was discussed last week, making a few more decisions and getting Dan up to speed. A high priority idea is to get started on our social media posts, as it would be great for SKiNT to share our planning submission news, and for PACT to be able to share it to their account as well. Once we’ve started this, posts will naturally speed up and we will be able to share regular updates and we can work together to make sure that we are all communicating the right messages for the charity.
The open house idea is also growing in strength. We’ve identified 3 groups that we would like to be able to welcome into the house: industry, friends and families, and other stakeholders and PACT supporters. We think this should be an event held on a weekend, hopefully within the next month.
Sav and Nell will work on getting some drawings, renders, moodboards etc printed out so that we can use the house as a sort of gallery, and we would love to have crafts, foods and other things to make it a proper day out. This is another thing that would be a perfect social media opportunity.
Finally we spoke about Will Teare and his proposal of a 3-phase approach to garden design, the first phase being a meeting on-site to talk through some layout options, scope of work, and initial ideas which will be put into a PDF with some sketches, materials, key plants, etc. This phase is £300. We will be getting back in touch with Will to try and get a day/time to meet up at the house soon, and then go ahead with this first step.
